  24. I managed to install Amitcp 4.0, Aweb and PPP1.45 following instructions in
  25. the archives plus in netbeinner.lha.

  27. Everything worked OK i.e I could surf OK until i tried to install cp6.

  29. After that I have had problems. I deinstalled cp6 and reintalled the
  30. above but I can't get Amitcp working

  33. I use the built in dialer in PPP and connect OK to my provider but then
  34. everything just hangs There seems to be no attempt ot startup Amitcp
  35. I then get ppp.device offline messages

  37. My startnet is essentially the one in Amitcp modified by the
  38. instructions in PPP

  40. IT must be the env variables that are wrong. Maybe I got then right
  41. first time by mistake.

  45. I have a provider gateway IP number.

  52. or just a name I give my computer. Is the DOMAINNAME the same
